Jane WALFORD, MBChB MRCPsych CTA TSTA
Medical Director, Director of Training

Jane is a medical doctor, psychiatrist, Certified Transactional Analyst, Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst and UK Council for Psychotherapy registered psychotherapist. She studied medicine at Leeds and went on to gain Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 1983. She has worked for many years in the National Health Service in community psychiatry and has a wide range of experience in mental health problems. Additionally she has a well-established private practice offering counselling and psychotherapy and is experienced in working with individuals, couples and groups. Jane is an experienced trainer and supervisor. She teaches on the workshop programme and all the training courses, and supervises both trainees and qualified practitioners from a variety of backgrounds.

Robin WALFORD, CTA TSTA
Director of Clinical Services

Robin is a Certified Transactional Analyst, a Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst, a UK Council for Psychotherapy registered psychotherapist and an Anglican priest. He was ordained in 1978 and developed a specialised ministry in pastoral care and counselling. He trained in psychodynamic counselling at Leicester University . He has had many years' experience as a counsellor and TA psychotherapist with a private clinical practice working with individuals and couples. He worked for a number of years for the National Health Service as the Co-ordinating Chaplain and Community Mental Health Chaplain for Leeds Community & Mental Health Services NHS Trust. Robin has considerable experience as a trainer and supervisor as well as playing an active role within the training programmes at the Institute, he teaches as a visiting trainer in a wide variety of settings.
